It was pretty obvious that was a pre-rendered cgi trailer. Where did you hear it was in-engine, because I call bullsh_t on that. Was really excited to hear the trailer was actually made in the dev engine and this is planned as a real side quest from the game. Game engines have really improved by leaps and bounds.
I think the earliest we see this is 2027, just based on Project Red’s history. Hopefully they learned their lesson from Cyberpunk launch disaster. They really turned that game around but it took them years to do it.Hopefully,it won't be that long. Maybe mid 2026 which i hate, but games take longer to develop anymore.
the only issue with Cyberpunk was trying to make it backwards compatible. Don't try to make it work on old tech when it was built on new tech.I think the earliest we see this is 2027, just based on Project Red’s history. If I’m them, I push back on crazy launch windows and keep their flagship in good shape.
Yeah, that was a big part of it for sure. If they had focused on the current gen’s and PC during development, I think they would have gotten a build of the quality that Phantom Liberty was (not the content - just quality) and that would have made a huge difference.the only issue with Cyberpunk was trying to make it backwards compatible. they spent so much development time and dollars trying to make the poor console peasants happy. should have just focused on the newer generation consoles and PCs.
I never had any game breaking bugs or even anything that took me out of the game experience. I think the worst thing I had was walking away from a character during a storyline dialogue and when I came back I couldn't rejoin the conversation and had to start the mission over again. but thats more on me.Yeah, that was a big part of it for sure. I really enjoyed Cyberpunk, but even on a current gen, that didn’t take place until after Phantom Liberty dropped. I had tried several times prior and just couldn’t get into the mechanics and the odd bugs until after they made the leap forward with that expansion.

yeah there were eff tons of copycat NPCs everywhere. and sometimes the car wheels would clip through the ground, but I never saw any of the major issues people had.
the only thing that cut in on my enjoyment was the lack of world depth, and even in Phantom Liberty they never really address it. Even when I chose a romance option, I never really cared about any of the side characters. there just never was enough interaction or consequence to make any relationship with an NPC worthwhile.
I really hate that you have 2/3 missions max with Jackie who is supposed to be your best friend and partner. The Heist really needed to be the end of Act 1, not the start of it.
I am replaying Cyberpunk now, and just view it as more of a shooter rather than an RPG. which is what made the Witcher awesome.
I think the game just needed to be rewritten. gameplay, mechanics, visuals, lore, "physical" world building, all excellent. it just tells a decent story in a crappy way imo.Killing Jackie too early is the giant bug in the game that CDPR can never fix.
I feel all of that. I loved the world, and I think they put more into it in Phantom Liberty, so my overall experience was colored by that. But you are correct, the side characters and companions, with the exception of Jackie, just felt so shallow and then Jackie’s just ends and you are wondering “what if?”. The interactions were so basic and didn’t really feel like you were building a bond or an impactful story with them.I never had any game breaking bugs or even anything that took me out of the game experience. yeah I had done a ME run this summer, and wanted some storyline to chew through. and I bet most of your replays you make the exact same decisions every time, like I do.I feel all of that. I need to replay it sometime but every time I do, I find another game to either play or replay that has a better story. I think I’m on my 5,000th replay (slight exaggeration) through the Mass Effect trilogy.
Yes. And I struggle with them. When I go into it, I say “this time I’m playing it differently!” And then when the choice comes, I go back to my favorite or well established choice that matches my head canon. But it is my all time favorite and I never get bored of the story (except for parts of ME3). My wife asks me how I can play that game so many times when I already know the story and I just say “you wouldn’t understand”.yeah I had done a ME run this summer, and wanted some storyline to chew through. and I bet most of your replays you make the exact same decisions every time, like I do.
ME3 was such a mixed bag of good vs bad writing and story telling.Yes. And I struggle with them. Andromeda was such a let down. It’s a disgrace to the ME name. I hear people say “go back and play it, it’s not that bad” but it’s such a bad argument. Turning critical pieces of the series into side notes that didn’t matter, the completely uninspiring world and characters, among other issues just makes me want to forget it existed.ME3 was such a mixed bag of good vs bad writing and story telling.
"Had to be me. Someone else might get it wrong."

the fate of the galaxy comes down to what Instagram color filter do you want applied to the end game.
what they did having player choices directly impact later games and later choices was absolutely unheard of at the time. It was such a crazy idea everyone thought it would fail.
and then Andromeda, I refuse to call it ME4, was just a pure money grab.
yeah I was with my fiance, she saw me checking the score after we walked her dog and asked if I wanted to watch the game. I laughed and said no.Andromeda was such a let down. As for ME3 story, it was nice to get some closure on some of the side characters storylines and to see how things had led up to that point. But the end was a miss. And the devs going back to try to “fix” it was another misstep that they ended up not really doing anything to help the cause. But on the whole, the series was such a huge hit and my favorite. ME3 nailed combat and the world building, along with the choices in previous games actually mattered.
Wish I had played instead of watching the hoops game tonight
