LOL at people who thought this movie was good. Worst crap ive seen in a long time.

Hilarious Leo thought he was going to win an Oscar for this garbage.

Seriously, I want my $1 back from Redbox it was that bad

Yeah it wasn't good. Not Leo's fault, I still think Leo is great, but this just wasn't a great movie.

After the fifth ten minute long "we party in our office" scene, I think they got the point across that they party in the office a lot. That was my biggest issue, the repetitiveness and dragging out of some aspects, and the utter lack of character development.

I'll admit it wasn't Scorsese's best. Leo's best (McConaughey deserved the Oscar this year) . Or even the two together's best (my fav is still Aviator). It was still very entertaining and has some great quotable lines.

Very average.

It was like someone was trying very hard to make a great movie and all we got was that someone tried really hard.

You are not. The movie was terrible. I was quoting a SNL skit from the 80s where a broadway show hypnotized the audience and they are all responding like zombies "I loved it, it was better than Cats, I'm going to see it again and again"

I mean it wasn't a 'terrible' movie. Maybe in your opinion.

It was still pretty solid acting. Got a little repetitive, but not sure I can understand calling it terrible.

The Departed is the most overrated Scorsese movie of his tenure. He got that Oscar to makeup for the Goodfellas robbery.

I just love the freaking debauchery of Wolf. Just freaking love it. Mainly because if I had that kind of paper, I would be just as irresponsible.

You're going to be sailing alone on this one. The writing in The Departed was near perfect, and the casting was even better. Wolf isn't even in the same league as Departed.

This sums it up pretty well for me. I thought they were trying way to hard to make an "edgy" movie, and it came across as....well people trying too hard.

I thought the other 4 Best Actor noms were better than LC, in fact I don't even think he should have gotten a nom. I felt other performances were better. I mean in the end it didn't matter because MM was clearly the best this year.

The only bad part anout The Departed was the rat crawling actods the balcony at the end. That was corny. Every other second of that movie was great. Even my wife loved it and she doesnt really care for those gangster crime dramas.

I disagree with your first paragraph entirely. The rest I'm good with. I absolutely love The Departed. Good ole Billy C would be up here all pissed after reading that.

Just before the credits rolled the camera panned out of Matt Damons apartment onto the balcony. There was a rat crawling across the railing. The theme of the movie was all about finding the "rat" in the mob and the police force. It just came across as corny to me.
