In Joness first class, a JUCO TE by the name of Woody Quinn was brought in as a part of the first recruiting class. Some thought hed be a bust because of his 2-star ranking. Others looked to other success stories like Antonio Gates and other NFL players. I just looked at the staffs history.
He turned out to be pretty much a bust. Then the #1 JUCO OT Dontavious Blair never saw the field, even with a 4-Star rating. While Vonn Pearson was productive while healthy, most of the JUCOs of the Jones era were busts to journeymen. That, regardless of rating. Oh, and they almost screwed up Kamara. How?!?
Lets hope this staff does better with JUCO players.
In summary ...
Quinn, a 2 star hardly got on the field
Blair, a 4 star, surprisingly hardly saw the field
Pearson, a 3 star became pretty productive
Kamara, a 4 star, became highly productive
... Thus, Jones juco recruiting sucked.
Earth shaking discovery there my friend.
