No link to provide, just thinking off the top of my head.

1987- Orioles send Pete Harnisch, Curt Schilling and Steve Finely to the Astros for Glen Davis.

Any number of trades George M. Steinbrenner had a hand in.

He went 29-29 with an ERA around 4 in 3.years with the Tigers.

He went 9-0 with a 1.82 ERA for the Tigers for the rest of the season after that trade, then he made the All Star team the next year. The Tigers got what they needed out of him, so I would struggle to call that a bad trade, unless you want to call it a bad trade every time someone trades a prospect that ends up thriving for a veteran that fills a need.

Yeah, they gave up a hall of famer for a guy that was great for half a season. It was a bad trade.

See emains explanation. You're not going to get much without trading potential stars. That's how it works, if you haven't noticed.

Trades like the Lou Brock trade were bad not because Brock ended up being a HoFer, but because Broglio was terrible for the Cubs.

In the short term, it wasn't bad for the Tigers. But in the long term? It was horrible.
