Can someone fill me in on the Jarrett hate? Twitter was going nuts with hate for the guy.

I mostly remember him for his WCW days.

Didn't he refuse to wrestle Chyna? Wasn't that kind of a big deal? He ended his contract like the day before that pay per view or something I think.

I don't really think he deserves it but I also don't have a problem with it. There's not really a criteria and people get in almost every year who probably shouldn't, like The Godfather right off the top of my head.

I saw a video shot in December of Bubba Ray being interviewed for some YouTube channel about not caring if he ever got the call for the WWE HOF and how he was retiring and will help out behind the scenes of ROH and how that's the most important thing to him. I'm interested to see if he has a different tune about it during his induction speech.

He’s been against the wwe grain for some time and he’s never been able to sustain the storylines, characters, or, most importantly, the money to keep a real rival wrestling organization for wwe. I think that’s the main reason for the backlash. Really surprised wwe is bringing him in honestly. That said, IMPACT/TNA/NWA/GFW has been far more beneficial for developing future WWE talent than NXT. That’s just not what Jarrett’s vision was.

I haven’t seen much hate, just shock. It will be interesting to see if TNA/GFW is mentioned at all when looking at his career.

In their press release it just said “traveling the world” as a wrestler and promoter pushing future wwe stars like Styles and Roode

I got hooked on searching youtube for wrestling's toughest wrestler ever.. Meng was the one dude that kept coming up.. there are some crazy stories out there. Apparently nobody in wrestling would ever mess with that dude. He ripped somebody's eye out and bit off another dudes nose in bars.. that's just a couple instances...

I read some of those last month, good stuff. Sounded like every wrestler ever asked named Meng as baddest man.

Yeah.. it was never disputed. If Austin and Nash say it, I'm a believer. But there were way more than that. A lot of them said those Samoan dudes were all like that. Just a crazy strength and pain tolerance when they were pissed off.

He's a career midcarder that could never get over as a top star then followed in his dad's footsteps and tried to run his own territory....and couldn't sustain that either.
