Made my own judgement not expecting much. I remembered when he was on Road Rules, and wasn’t impressed with his cleverness back then. Midway through his first set about Daryl Strawberry, I was rolling. Not everybody likes everybody.

That means you take yourself and life too seriously… he’s out there and you have to know that and expect it for his stuff to be funny… then it’s hilarious

It’s a different kind of comedy… kinda like how not everyone get The Office..

I did end up watching this game again.

I had forgotten how many critical plays our defense gave up that game. AR made some insane moves that game.

Nah, if you actually knew me you’d know I really don’t take myself seriously at all. I just don’t find his style to be funny, simple as that.

After all, some people think Jim Carey is funny.

Cool story, and the type of thing I would expect from Theo, but I bet our security was pissed about a rando doing this.

I have always considered Theo Von more of an entertainer than comedian. His stories are great, and usually do include some comedy, but he is a better storyteller than joke teller, which is why I consider him an entertainer. He is definitely one that feeds off his status, you have to know of him to easily find him funny. To me its pretty easy to see why most people just listening to him don't consider him a comedian or that funny. Its not a dry delivery, like Mitch Hedburg had, but the way I always end up listening to him is for content rather than humor just from how he tells his stories/jokes.

I get frustrated sometimes listening to his shows or hearing him on others because of all the side bars and distractions, which take away from the story telling, which is his strong suit imo.

It's this IMO. I only watched one of his specials and parts of others and I (personally) don't think he's particularly adept at creating long form comedic material. Having said that we listen to his podcast sometimes at work and some of the observations he'll make at any given time out of nowhere will have us all cracking up and wondering "How is this guy's head wired to even make that connection?".

Theo says the wildest, most off the wall crap and I find it hilarious. I haven’t watched any of his specials, though. Mainly clips from his interviews/podcasts.

Let’s not forget his partner in crime, Caleb Pressley. Sundae Conversation is the best thing Barstool has going right now.

It’s blowing my mind how visceral the reaction is to Theo Von as if he’s offensive and punching babies or something lol.

I’ll say it again. Y’all would hate talking to me if you don’t like Theo Von lol. My brain works like that.
