Yes it was '98...other big plays he made that year: TD catch vs Florida off a double move in the corner of the end zone to give Tenn a 17-10 lead...TD catch vs Arkansas to cut their lead to 21-10 in the 2nd quarter...TD catch on a bomb vs Miss St to take a 17-14 lead in the 4th quarter of the SECCG...and of course, 4 catches for 199 yards and a TD vs Florida St in the Fiesta Bowl which included a 79 yard TD catch where he burned Mario Edwards...He was clutch.

Tyler Brays throat slash was more demonstrative and directed squarely at the opposing teams sideline after a touchdown in a game we ultimately lost. Peerless was dancing and hamming it up after winning the NC. Plus his quasi slash was not directed towards anyone in particular. Not a classy move but not in the same category as Bray's imo.

Uh, he did that FSU/Atlanta Braves chop and then immediately went with the slash. I would say it was directed at someone and seeing how the Braves weren't there...

I see your point but at least the game was over and Peerless wasn't staring down FSU's players. As I said it wasn't classy but I personally think Bray's was worse. Really doesn't matter either way. Bray earned his reputation on more then a throat slash.
