There is always an excuse for an Ohio State loss...

I didnt watch that game but it sounds like it was fairly evenly called to me. I guess you have to blame someone though.. Maybe we can blame our losses on the officals. :)

I have seen coaches, players, and even fans blamed on this board; but never officials

No lie. An OSU fan at a sports bar a month ago approached me and told me that the reason we beat them in the citrus bowl in 95 was because we had longer cleats and gave us an advantage in the rain. I simply laughed.

That article is dumb. We got out played, period. They DID fumble that first scoring drive, into the end zone. That was obvious on the replay in the stadium.....but we could have challenged and didnt for some odd reason. OSU plays in a weak conference, and got exposed. Period.

I wonder if LG has heard all the excuses about why OSU got hammered by the Gators last year.

Long lay off, something happened in the locker room, it's so ridiculous that so many Buckeye fans can just take a whipping like the rest of us.

This board seems to admit the damn Gators whipped our tails this year, as did Alabama and Cal, but we do have hope of getting better, and we don't come up with stupid excuses all the time. That just makes getting whipped that much worse for real football teams.

If Michigan beats Ohio State this weekend, the Big 10 champ will have lost to Appy State. That takes a lot of explaining for the rest of us to understand why we should consider the Big 10, and this upcoming game, as anything meaningful to the college football landscape.

All that talk last year about how MI and OSU should have played for the national title in a rematch after spending literally months talking about what great teams they had was WAY OVER THE TOP! Then, after both MI and OSU both get whipped on national TV in BCS bowl games by the SEC and Pac 10, we still have to stomach OSU as being ranking first for a good portion of this season.

I don't know who will win the big rivalry game of the Big 10, but I do know that the winner will lose its next game against a real college football team from the Pac 10. So, what's the point of the rivalry talk? Who really cares?:eek:lol:

An osu fan at my office swears to this day that "they were a lot better than Florida" but "just didn't play well that night." LOL!!!!

You need to tell the guy at your office, maybe, just maybe, Florida had something to do with them not "playing well that night."

Also....dont forget how ESPN always hypes up a linebacker or two from OSU...that never does anything in the NFL. Remember Katzenmoyer??? He was supposed to be the second coming.....he was not 1/1,000,000th the athlete of Al Wilson....but he got all the press coverage. Never did jack in the league...while Al was thought to be the best LB in the business for a while. Makes me sick.

This makes perfect sense. This also means you can't be an Ohio State fan, because I've never heard a rational thought escape their lips or keyboards.:p

They did get one call wrong that was costly, but like BuckeyeVol said, they didn't challenge it. :dunno:

A little bit northeast of Columbus; I work in the city itself. It's always nice after an Ohio State loss to be able to come and go in peace with there being a pall over the city.

Especially with replay now. If the game was in Columbus and the officials butchered the call by getting it right on the field, and overturning it to a catch, I would laugh my *** off while Columbus burned.
