when Bama and LSU BOTH endured as much suckage as we have, and for longer than we have, recently. Before Saban came into the picture for both LSU (first) and then to Bamer....BOTH teams were as easily as bad as what we've been seeing with our team.

The bottom line is, we needed to get the right coach...and there won't be an immediate turn around. Didn't Saban lose 6 games his first year at Bama? Because of his past success, he was able to convince enough talent to come to Bama.

I think Butch is in a similar position....but we need to find a way to come away with home wins against UGA and USCjr, and Auburn...so he can solidify his sales pitch to recruits.

If they can develop Worley enough to be even slightly above average, and maybe mix in one of the freshmen in certain packages...to get them some valuable SEC experience, and give us some big plays....then this could still be a successful first year for CBJ to build on.

Remember, TAM, too started off early in the SEC with 2 losses. So, put away the Jim Jones and Coke. No need to slit your wrists. There is much football still to be played.

The 2009 team had more talent than this roster. And no we didn't look as bad against UCLA or Florida in 2009.
We didn't play Oregon in 2009, and we would have gotten clobbered then too. And yes, we sucked every bit as bad against UF.

We had NO OL talent...playing the Sullins brothers....both undersized walk-ons. Had no size or depth on the DL. Our talent/depth was MUCH, MUCH worse then.

The difference was that Kiffin got Crompton to snap out of his funk before the UGA game.

Chris Scott and Aaron Douglas weren't talented? Wr's were much better, Crompton was better, Hardesty and Brown were better. Luke Stocker better than any TE on this roster.

LSU sucked for a really long time. Bama had a pretty bad stretch, but we are definitely close to surpassing it, if not already.

Chris Scott, Hardesty, brown, and stocker were the only ones that were better. Crompton was no where near better than Worley. Wr's were not better either.. Maybe equal.

No one on that OL was on the same level as what we have now. Hardesty = Marlin Lane. We have 3 large WR's, who were 4* recruits. What else you got?

LSU was worse before Saban. They had Im wanting to say like 7 straight losing seasons. Now Bama would be a stretch as Dubose, Franchione, & Shulabhad moderate success in peaks and valleys.

You really don't think Crompton was better than Worley? And yeah I'll take Gerald Jones and Denarius Moore over this group.

Hardesty was far better than lane and neal. Jones and moore vs. These recievers? Is that a joke? I'm a worley supporter but crompton was much more talented. Ill give you that the oline is better now. Thats about it.

I'm getting pretty sick of after every loss we get some comparison to some other program some time, as if that's some consolation or has anything to do with our situation.

So the moral of the story is Saban is a good coach.
