"There's only ONE REAL UT...Only ONE REAL shade of Orange..."

Remember the Vols fan struck by a thrown hotdog outside of Autzen stadium. He remarked, “Oh. Is this for me?” Walked over to a group of Oregon fans, introduced himself, told them what a wonderful time he was having in Eugene, and how excited he was to watch the game about to start on their home field. He won them over and represented Tennessee in the best way possible. GBO.
Did he eat the hotdog?

It’s been an age since Texas and Tennessee played. Three times they’ve met in the Cotton Bowl. Tennessee won the first in 1951. Texas won in ‘53 and ‘69. When next they meet, be your best Orange - affable, generous in deed and spirit, exemplary in your sure, unwavering support for the Volunteers.

See that’s how thoughtless other fan bases are. Throw a hotdog but no condiments. A true Tennessee fan would have thrown a mustard bottle too 😉

The Sporting News hates us? Lol.

That one actually hurts my nostalgia bone a little bit coming from them. When I was a kid, my dad got me a subscription to The Sporting News, and it was awesome. Would usually be like 50 pages half magazine format, then 50 pages of small print newspaper format with a plethora of info.

That clickbait drivel of a headlinewould have been smallprint back then.

Bad choice of words, friend.

I don't think many folks are worrying about meeting Texas. I think a lot of us are looking forward to it with eager excitement.

Go Vols!
After the last 20 years I do worry. We’ve no idea what we will be like in 2025 or what they will be like in 2025.

I like Texas. I had a fine time in Austin in 1980. Cannot fault their hospitality. That acknowledged, we hold these truths to be self-evident

Tennessee is older than Texas and a founding member of the SEC. Tennessee is the first and rightful UT.

Tennessee orange is true orange. All others are adulterated - Florida, Auburn, Virginia, Clemson, Syracuse, Texas…

From Davy Crockett till today, most everything good in Texas originated from Tennessee.

texas is basically Alabama without the winning and recent championships and with more unadulterated smugness and cockiness - again, just because they’re texasss.

There’s a reason Aggies call them t-sips.

I grew up in Tn, but have lived in Texas for 50 years +. I still know who the real UT is and correct color of orange belongs to.

I was always told if it weren't for Davy Crockett and a bunch of Tennesseans, Texans would be known as Texicans to this very day.

Hah. Just finished the SoonerScoop podcast from SEC media days and that "relationship with Oklahoma really isn't complicated” quote may be true for fans and the program in general, but they're saying the animosity between Heupel and Stoops is so bad it kept Josh from attended Leach's funeral and Bob from Roy Williams' CFB HoF induction. Nine years on and it hasn't gotten any better, even with third parties trying to mend fences.
