Thigpen-3 year extension?

I was reading a thread on VQ that Tommy Thigpen signed a 3 year extension with Tennessee. I didn't see any concrete confirmation. But the conversation seemed as if there was someone credible that mentioned this the other day. I can't find anything on the web, and I was wondering if anyone had any information on this topic.

I tend to agree...but is he so much better that Butch would cut bait with a guy that he's worked with his entire time as a head coach?

Pittman was a great OL coach but the continuity of this staff is one of the primary reasons that they have been so successful across multiple programs. I'd like to see us keep all of our current staff through at least next year to give them a chance to develop our players. It's been a while since we saw consistent player development around here, definitely not since the Fulmer/Chavis/Cutcliff days.

Agreed...the continuity of Jones' staff everywhere he's been is one of the main reasons he's been as successful as he's been. Azzanni said as much in his post-NSD interview.
