Thigpen-3 year extension?

Pittman was a great OL coach but the continuity of this staff is one of the primary reasons that they have been so successful across multiple programs. I'd like to see us keep all of our current staff through at least next year to give them a chance to develop our players. It's been a while since we saw consistent player development around here, definitely not since the Fulmer/Chavis/Cutcliff days.
Definitely agree. With the parity of talent coming about within a half dozen SEC schools (UA, AU, LSU, UGA, UF &.....once again UT), the cohesiveness of the coaching staff is a definite plus. I'll take 4*'s who're on the same page over 5*'s who're just a little bit out of sync any day. Butch may be providing the Vols with a cake that they can eat, too. Keep 'em ALL together.

Per Hubbs

However, multiple sources tell VolQuest.com that linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen, widely seen as the single greatest catalyst other than Jones in this year's landmark recruiting class and Rivals.com's Recruiter of the Year, has received a raise and a new deal. Sources have said all along that the Vols "had a plan in place" to retain Thigpen, popular with his current players as well as recruits, even as schools like Ohio State and North Carolina came calling.

I don't think CBJ lost any of his coaches. I think that shows how much the entire program has bought into the this system. I hope rumors of extension are true.
