Things built, torn down and other projects.(Pictures)

Idk on most stuff, but I do know rebuilding them is at least half of what a new one costs. Depends on what it's for, and if they just bring in the part, or we take it off. I did 2 starters today, and just happened to be up front when they came in. One was $45, the other $135. Cheaper one only needed a solenoid, other needed that, armature, and brushes. The guy who paid 135 asked what a new one costs, they looked it up, and it was $295. I did a couple of altenators, and they weren't much, except the one I had to take off and put back on the truck. He paid a little more for labor.
Do you have a growler?

Hope you’re having a happy Thanksgiving, @buckfama

My dad had open heart surgery the second week of November and since I'm the only family with a flexible schedule. I've been helping my folks out around their place.

I haven't been on a jobsite since then. I've been buying stuff from others and flipping it to my buyers.

I'm about to hit the road for a few months. I have that train depot in South Georgia to reclaim and then off to Kentucky and Ohio.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.

Oh gosh, how is your dad doing? I know it’s a blessing to your folks that you were able to help out.

Good luck on your next projects!

Thank you.

He is doing ok. He went in for another surgery when they found the blockages. He was over 90% blocked in 2 arteries and nearly 100% in another. He was lucky they found it when they did.

He is doing ok now it seems. The surgery seemed to age him 10 years, but I guess that's to be expected. But as far as the surgery itself, it was a success.

Meant to post yesterday. Someone brought in a vehicle yesterday with an emp shield. They were definitely conspiracy types, you could see by the bumper stickers😂. Anyway, their radio wouldn't work, half the lights, horn went out, and wipers would come on by their self. Automatic doirs and windows wouldn't work either. I asked if maybe they waited too late to buy the shield😂. Just hadn't seen one, thought it was cool.
