Things I'm happy about today

Well, the evidence shows that it significantly reduces the chances of being hospitalized, so that’s the attraction for me. Especially if the updated boosters ever get going.
You sure not being hospitalized isn’t a person to person phenomenon given that some people, vaccinated or not, are affected in a wide variety of ways from dying to no symptoms at all?

Right now, there is some correlation between vax status and severity. This correlation is nowhere near as strong as 2021. In general, each strand of COVID has got progressively weaker.

It’s the numbers. They look at co-morbidities (age, immunocompromised, other medical conditions), and hospitalization is still lower among vaccinated and/or boosted.

Yes, if you’re (lol, we’re) older, etc., we’re still more likely to be hospitalized or have severe cases than obnoxiously young and healthy, but we’re less likely to have these bad cases than those like us who weren’t v and/or b. Or previously infected, although the protection resulting from that has been awfully variable.

It’s a weird virus that, on an individual level, is unpredictable in how severely it affects you, but when you back up at look at overall numbers, it’s very clear that immunization is VERY helpful.

And the CDC just admitted their recommendations and steps taken during the “pandemic” were wrong and was handled badly so I’m not putting a lot of stock in their research.
Yeah, their bureaucratic mindset really buggered up a lot of things.

They don’t do the science though (mostly.) They try to administer the findings.

That doesn’t mean that the science is wrong.

Oh well, off to dig holes in the ground. (Plants, not people)
