But don't get me started about the people in attendance. Oh my gosh, I have never seen people dress and act so terribly at something that should be important. People getting up to leave as soon as their kid's name was called. Maybe I am just old, but that seems pretty disrespectful to the rest of the class and their families.

So many congratulations to her! That diploma demonstrates two things: her courage and determination, and the love and support of her parents. ❤️

Good idea 🤣. I'm actually home now. There was some electrical issues in our area, and she told me if I wanted I could leave since the actual shift people were walking around 🤣. I left, after talking with her in the parking lot for a bit, she left also.

My wife and I have had custody of her grandsons for the past 9.5 years. Today I am officially their Dad.
I have been filling the role of Dad this entire time. But, there is something different about the feeling today.
I was doing fine until the Judge asked me if I loved them. I couldn't hold back my emotions when I said with all my heart. When we turned to have our pictures taken most of the courtroom was crying. In the past, they have been teased by other kids because of their lack of real parents. When we started down the steps at the courthouse, the youngest one said "I can't wait until the next time someone teases me about not having real parents." I said why? He said I am going to tell them I have the best parents in the world and they chose to be my parents.

This girl right here. Got her from the humane society last spring. She was part of a court case for animal abuse. It has taken a long time, but she has become the most playful and loving dog I have ever had. She just loves attention. And boy is she protective of the house and the kids. Our doodle is really laid back, but this one is on alert at all times.20240529_084116.jpg
