Things I'm happy about today

Capacitor checked good & 120v to the board was good. Motor was shot. Changed motor, capacitor & cleaned everything good. Old motor was filthy

Great job!
So, I have a question. That filter in the bottom inside the furnace does what? Do you have duct filters as well?

I had my ducts cleaned (they did a great job), and I add new filter tracks and filters in the ducting. Just ordered 5" wide filters to replace the 1" filters. But I am curious if there is a filter inside the furnace, as the panel on my unit suggests there is... I guess I will pull that panel to see.

To make it simple. When the blower turns on it draws in air thru the return vents (air already in the house), it goes thru the filter & is put back in the rooms thru the supply ducts. Cold, hot or recirculated air is what goes thru the supply ducts. Main purpose for most filters is to catch dust so it won’t be sent to any rooms thru the supply ducts.
Do not have duct filters. You probably have a filter inside your unit

Agree... even though the unit says there is a filter inside the heater section, the furnace is installed horizontal to the ducting in the crawl space, and therefore they added a filter in the duct just in front of the blower... so I don't think I need to play around looking inside the furnace cover.

Ordered four each 5" wide filters, and once they arrive I will adjust the spacing of the aluminum track rails I made, to slide the filter in place. Then I can close this project.

Sounds like you know what’s goin on. Not a heatin & air person but know how they work. I know how to fix a wide range of things. Changing this blower was easy & had never done one before.
At least take a look at that filter, it’s there for a purpose. Clean filters can save a lot of future problems.
You buy the filters from mollie b?

We used to go to Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas and go out on a pontoon boat and just swim and have fun. Sigh.

First place I ever caught a fish when I was wee little. I haven't caught very many since then. Somewhere on the lake are rocks that are fairly high where you can jump in the lake.

Greers Ferry is also the first place I attempted to water ski. They kept telling me if I fell, to let go of the rope. Of course I didn't, so I was being dragged underwater for a few seconds before they realized. Scared the crap out of my Mom. I remember the skis hitting me in the head.

Was sad when my doc told me no more grapefruit juice cuz statin. Errythang on the interwebs says the kind of statin I take and grapefruit juice be OK.

Ruby Red and Tito's!!!! However, getting mad cuz I drank all the Tito's.
