Long ago, when radios provided the primary broadcast entertainment, sugar cane was grown up and down the southeastern coast. From it, they made cane syrup. Thick, dark, and strong tasting, it is favored by my coastal relatives to this day, even though they don't grow much cane, nor refine much sugar, nor make much syrup in those parts anymore.

Yes! These little watershed lakes around here are full of big bass. We actually rented a place when we fiest got married that had a pond, it was full of everything, but the bass were mostly 5-7 lbs range. Last time I tried to catfish there I caught about40 bass, my arm got sore from fighting them.
