Things I'm happy about today

I'm happy I returned to work Tuesday (they made me take some stoopid fitness to return to duty tests Monday) and I didn't keel over.......yet.

Glad to see 95 has his scooter mechanic back. Congrats, hman!

I'm also happy that my mater plants I planted from seed all have small blooms. Gonna have plenty.

I'm happy about a moment at church. My daughter (the middle one) went to pray during the singing, and I went to pray with her. Not sure what it was even about, but she was crying, and when she got done she just laid her head on me and hugged me. It made me feel like she knew daddy loved her, and was helping her pray for whatever was bothering her.

Awesome moment

I think you both used it correctly here.

That said, it reminds me of that bit Bill Engval (sp) did a while back.

We use the word awesome too often and incorrectly. Like, seeing a nice truck and saying ...that's awesome. Or getting a dollar more back in change....that's awesome. Those are good, but awesome? Me going to the front door and finding Shania Twain in a long trench coat with nothing underneath it, with a note from my wife taped to the front that says, Happy Birthday Bill, have a great weekend. That would be AWESOME!

Yes. The abuse of the word, "awesome" passed the point of no return via the character, Rhino the hamster in the animated film, Bolt.

I'm happy that all of the five-year-old California sunflower seeds my wife planted have germinated! We're going to have a mess of sunflowers!

After reading your post Tin, I went out and checked my stuff. I got a little pepper on one of my plants. Woot.
