You're on brother. Just don't go out E. Parkway.... LOL. Would love to get together with Mr.Rockeytop and you to discuss how we are going to restart our dominance of the Bammers... :birgits_giggle:

My door is always open. I have tons of UT freinds, and some family. There is of course a cover charge for Vol fans.

What's stopping you? Tennessee as well as all of the surrounding states have handgun carry permits. I carry a .40 Glock on a daily basis around the Memphis area. However, you would not be allowed to carry into the stadium (and I don't think you'd want the responsibility/liability of carrying a loaded weapon amongst 70,000 intoxicated individuals). Class is about $60 and permit itself is about $115 for four years. But I digress...

Why does Tunica get no love on the list of things to do after the game?

On an off topic note, the Florida Non-Resident permit is the BEST permit by far. Covers 28 states.

Yeah, I am just kidding. I just said that because one night at a bar I sat down and asked for a Bud Light and the bartender noticed my Bama hat and asked me if I was sure I didn't want PBR. He was a Vol fan of course.

If you don't go down Parkway you will miss out on the famous Airways Fish Market. They have super good deals on Buffalo and Drum.

All that is true, but my warning for not traveling that route is the bridge over Southern Ave., normally four lanes is bottlenecked to one lane each way creating a serious jam.

You are in rare form tonight 12. Is this considered hijacking a thread? I guess not since it's about Memphis..

Come on Rocky. He's just trying to help out all the Vol fans coming into town for the game that have a hankering for a little buffalo or drum for the fish fryer... :shakehead:

Oh yeah, by the way, the Rendezvous is a must experience in downtown Memphis, if you can get in

I am a Memphis resident and consider myself a cue connoiseur...and we're going to have to agree to disagree on the Rendezvous. Yes, the food is good--but not worthy of the hype it gets and certainly not worth the hassle of fighting the downtown crowd.

As far as straight-up pork bbq, I'm partial to Germantown Commissary. As far as ribs...unfortunately they're somewhat hit or miss (and in a bad part of town), but Cozy Corner's ribs cannot be beaten when they're "on". And Cozy's hours are limited as well, which is probably why only the locals know about it.

You guys make me wanna thaw out some crappie.
You're just getting yourself deeper in the invitation business man. First asking us over after the game and now telling us you are gonna thaw out some crappie for a fish fry. All you have to do is click on our names for a "personal message" and tell us where to be after the game or meet us at Central and Hollywood about 8:00 AM. Hardeharhar
