I don’t mean to start another prediction thread...I’m just curious what the opinion of the board is on what it takes to finish a successful class this year...

As for me...this class is a success if we land Griffin, Valentin, Peterson, Copeland and another impact OLB-type (preferably Walker)...anything else is icing on the cake...

What say you board?

Valentin
2 of Peterson/Copeland/Griffin/Walker
A few solid LB and DB prospects

Maybe I’m kidding myself...but I’d be shocked if we don’t land Griffin and Peterson...I hate to use the word lock but I’m so confident in them that I’d almost remove them from your “2 of” list above and just say “1 of Walker/Copeland”

Plug holes in the roster . Foster a competitive environment to motivate any current players who have been less than enthusiastic in the weight room.

To be honest, this class was a success for me when Butch Jones was let go. That was the biggest recruiting win of the year. We now know we aren't wasting talent for another year. The guys coming, whoever they end up being, will play better in the long run under this staff.

If you're looking for a ranking. Top10 should always be the expectation at Tennessee. With the circumstance of this year, that's a tough pull. Top30 for me would be C, Top20 a B, Top15 an A+

Yeah, I also think we land both. I just think that considering where we were, this class would still be a success even without Copeland/Walker. I think we can land one of those, but they’d be icing in my opinion.

Peterson, Copeland, and Griffin will all be Vols. We will have few more surprises as well

I personally hope the icing on the cake is Walker if it’s a one or the other situation...

I feel like we have enough WRs to be okay right now and with Wilhoite, Nash, Knox, Scurry and several others just in the state next year I think we’re going to restock that position easily...

LB is the spot where we’re not only hurting badly right now but our future prospects aren’t looking as good at this point...Walkers a day one 2nd stringer if not starter

get a top 15 the grade will be A+ as late our coaching staff started, i think 12 day's before the 3 day early signing period, we started out the day ranked 64th,and we are getting very good recruits that lot of the top programs want, you can't ask for any more from a coaching staff in the time frame they had to work with, and when he gets here full time and fills out the coaching staff who knows how we finish this class of.

The key is you will probably see a much better conditioned and developed team than we've seen in the past under Butch.

What say you board?

A few other guys who really impressed me are: Coynis Miller DT, Jaevon Becton OLB, Malik Langham OLB, Tavion Thomas RB

Don’t know how realistic these are but we can always hope..
