I don’t mean to start another prediction thread...I’m just curious what the opinion of the board is on what it takes to finish a successful class this year...

As for me...this class is a success if we land Griffin, Valentin, Peterson, Copeland and another impact OLB-type (preferably Walker)...anything else is icing on the cake...

What say you board?

I believe in JP

If it keeps momentum and builds toward success. I think it is a success now, especially considering where we were.

I agree with this...and I don’t mean to underscore what they have done so far...to pull off the ESD they did in a few weeks after the ****show our administration put on was astounding...it makes me feel very good about the future

You want low end success, or high end success? There are varying level.

Low end, we fill all our needs with quality players.

High end, we get Stuart, Griffin, Peterson, Copeland, Miller, Kelvin Joseph, Eddie Smith, Dylan Wonnum, Valentin, and another quality WR. Finish with either another quality LB or another quality OL. That's shoot for the stars success.

- Sign some good linemen on both sides. (Top priority, but pretty good progress so far.)

- Sign a quality QB or 2 (Need one more 4* or higher)

- Sign one great MLB and some other good LBs.

- Fill in the rest with quality WR, RB, and secondary.

....JP keeps it on its current trajectory. #16 , filling needs and moving up very quickly with JJ Peterson’s commitment today. Headed for a top 10 finish imo after we land Griffin and 7-8 more highly rated kids.

Considering where we were before Pruitt this recruiting class is already a success. But Pruitt isn't satisfied. Finishing in the top 10 is a definite possibility now and that is amazing.

We got Peterson today, we're probably going to get Griffin too. Add in Taylor-Stuart and Quay Walker as possibilities along with whoever else Pruitt can get his hands on. As of now we have 18 signees/commits which leaves us with a max of 7 more. That's a lot more quality, big time players we can get.

Recruiting's half the battle. Now we gotta win.

Coach Pruitt adding "Griffin, Valentin, Peterson, Copeland and another impact OLB-type (preferably Walker)" would mos def be a successful class. To up the record this fall, the team needs a class of solid players with a handful of real impact players. Approaching top ten would be OK by me this year, a very good job by the new staff. I believe their next class will be at least middle top ten.

That would be incredible. Assuming we have 7 more spots available after Peterson's commitment:

1) Griffin
2) Walker
3) Copeland
4) Miller
5) Thomas
6) Valentin
7) Taylor-Stuart

That's about as strong a finish as any coach hired on December 8th is going to do. That would be a strong top 10 class. The hell with Mays.

If we finish in the 12 - 15 range it will be a very solid class. I would expect to be top ten every year from here on out.
