This deserves to be in the recruiting forum too...

That makes me want to suit up for the big orange! Just send that video to recruits, how can you turn that down?

I understand it isn't paid for by the same money. I'm just saying that it would be nice if we could generate and raise that kind of money for academics so students could enjoy top notch facilities also.

My understanding is that there is quite a bit spent on that side. There's lots of new state of the Art Academic buildings and money comes from private donors as well as the general fund which come from scholarships, tuition, the state, and the lottery.

Lots of money being spent all around.

I'm a 30 year old 1* athlete according to rivals, and I just committed.

In addition, UT football is self supportive, so whatever money is made should be reinvested to keep the money making machine moving forward.

Remember, its all about the Benjamins. What?

WOW! This place is going to be amazing! If training in a state-of-the-art complex with absolutely everything you need does not get your attention I don't know what will

Is this like the money that goes to the building fund at church? Been giving money for that for years and we're still in the same building

Sweet. I wouldn't spend too much time around the weights or all the dudes, but the food and HDTVs are off the chizzle.

This is impressive. I understand that this will be great from a recruiting perspective but it makes me kind of wish that the university put this kind of money behind academic aspects also. Not that I'm complaining...:D

You haven't seen the renovations and new construction that has been going on on the hill the last few years. Similarly impressive.

yeah they're still putting a lot of money into new academic facilities - the guy that invented the Garmin gave money for that big new EE/computer science building right near at the corner where Cumberland meets World's Fair Park - another engineering building going up right next to the Neyland garage too.

Nice to finally see something. This has been in the works for several years. Its kind of funny how the athletic department works. We already have one of the better football facilities in the country, but Stokely is falling apart so instead of trying to raise money to build a new facility for the other sports they know it would be easier to raise money to build a top notch football complex like this and then move the other sports into the current football complex. Can't wait to see it all finished. Should definitely help recruiting.
