This game should have been played in Knoxville and we weren’t vocal enough about the malarkey

Period.

The “committee” should have put Ohio State behind us after they lost to a 21 point underdog at home.

We lost to Arkansas at Arkansas at night. The committee dropped all teams that lost 6-7 spots except for when it came to Ohio state with a home game on the line—they somehow justified putting them in front of us.

We played 4 major teams at away stadiums—and lost 3 of them. I think it’s a completely different game if we play in Knoxville. But we’ll never know because we perpetually get screwed despite having one of the most compelling fan bases and programs in college football.

OSU is as good as if not better than Georgia and we CANNOT beat Georgia anywhere. Heupel is good at home except vs Georgia and I would bet OSU based upon talent levels of those teams vs TN. Please don't say Bama because they are not as talented as either GA or OSU especially this year.

We were taking it to Georgia until the home cooking officiating just continued their drives with weird shady fumble overturns. If the roles were reversed—we would t have got those overturns.

We need to stop being the ragdoll for the nonsense. We have too passionate a fanbase and are too good a program to receive negative treatment from college sports “officials”.

Dylan Sampson not being a finalist in Doak Walker or Heisman says it all.

Doesn’t matter where we played that game, we still lose, Ohio State played out of their minds and probably above their potential. That’s probably the best game they’ve played in years. I hope they get smashed by Oregon. Think it would have been a closer game at home, probably 10 points or less. There is a discipline problem on this team, we’ve seen it all year, the half assed approach, bonehead penalties, I don’t know if it’s the coaches preparation, the players preparation or a little bit of both, but it was bound to catch up with us sooner or later that team that played Saturday night did not look hungry to win anything, looks to me like they were too busy, counting their money and was ready to get out of the cold. The only player I saw true effort from was Nico.

I agree with Ohio State being ahead of us. Everything favored that. I think there is an argument we should have played Penn State and Ohio State should have been in their spot.

The Arizona State and Boise State setup was bad as well. Take these auto byes out and Tennessee was a 6 seed hosting.

I really think we need to cheer for Ohio State to beat Oregon (makes CFB Committee look bad for screwing over Oregon) and for Boise State and Arizona State to get absolutely trounced to end that fraud of the auto bye system.

Ohio State had a better resume. It doesn’t matter if you think Indiana and Penn State aren’t as good as their rankings. The committee had them in the top ten, which boosted OSU’s resume.

They had beaten more top 10 teams...
Look...
Neyland or Columbus they would have won.
It's not helpful to complain about trivial circumstances.

The boys had a good season.
Got their tails whooped.
And now the coaches know how far they STILL have to improve.

It's good to know you still have room to grow.

As I said—

We played 4 real away games. And lost 3 of them.

We earned a home game at Neyland and got screwed by the committee. Penn State didn’t deserve it. We went 10-2 thru the SEC and had two teams from an inferior conference hosting. College football home environments cannot be understated.

Honestly, I believe if we don't have horrible OL problems, half of those are W's. Those guys are the guys who aren't ready. Some of it is on coaching discipline. I think some of it is teams jump our snap count. But we just get destroyed there. The hurry up with our OL would just hurry up and put our defense back on the field, and some of those games got way out of hand.

I don't think we deserved home field advantage and I can't say we win if we're at home, but that game got out of hand and then we had no chance of getting back in it with all the injuries to offensive weapons. It was a series of events that wouldn't repeat itself like that in alternate universes. We could play that game at Neyland 10x and we win 3 or 4 of them and don't get blown out in any of them.

We need to accept that we got our ass kicked, learn from it and move on. We’re not there. Not yet. We’re 180 degrees from where we at this exact point 4 years ago. That I’m sure of . And the amount of people not taking that into account is alarming and yet so very, very typical .

No they didn’t. They had the same record as us. In a much worse conference. The SEC has earned the respect over 15 years of dominance. The Big Ten might not even be as good as the big 12.
