i know one thing, it's to a joke to think the left is truly concerned about high gas prices. they don't care one bit, they think it's great because they want to force everyone to buy a prius and walk to work. they have become so beholded to the whacko leftists of this country and it's killing the normal American.

Forget that the message here is a disaster, the entire thing was very well stated.

Give me a break, it's not mocking. It's the fact I'm not going to sit around whining about people making bad decisions and blaming the gov't. And the extra $2500 figure is a ridiculous amount of driving for someone who can't afford it. I guess ignorance of the law is a defense in your court?

I pay for my fuel monthly (got the ol' co-op card) and put about 25K-30K miles on my car each year, my gas butget went from $275-325 to about $675-700 but when it got high back in the spring I traded my 19mpg truck for a 28mpg car which has brought it down to about $475-525 per month and being a realtor my pay has dropped, but there is still business to be had you just have to work harder, so I agree it is not the govt fault, I hope they can play a small role in fixing it but still I traded to cut my budget.

That defies logic LG. Do you believe that is gonna help gas prices? I doubt you do. Obviously you don't, from your very last sentence. So why be for it?

Who cares if he has a tough time getting it through. It shows he uses flawed thinking, why would you want to vote for someone that has that.

Show me a candidate that doesn't used flawed thinking.

I think I actually said at the time that I was impressed with your change. I just wish many had the foresight to do the same. I'm actually glad I'm not on the road selling anymore even though my business wasn't hit very hard.

I'm not saying it doesn't affect me but we've made changes at our house too. We carpool on our short ride to work, take lunch so we're not driving home as much, etc. It's not a deal breaker to us but every little bit helps.

The strain that this dramatic rise in gas prices is having on American families is not made up. Its real and it is going to mean a lot come November.

I hate it, but think you're right.

Soros must be speculating hard.

Obama hopes so. Oil down 20+ dollars in a week. No wonder he can't be for supporting an "all of the above" energy approach. It would help things out and discredit his doom and gloom outlook.

Oil dropping could help Obama since it may lessen the cries for more drilling options.

True. But if it keeps up McCain can say look what happened at the mere mention by Bush of lifting the offshore ban. Also, I think bad econmic conditions help Obama more than good ones.
