Beamer's next 5 years will look just like Fulmer's last 5. Solid D but no offensive identity. Recruiting has dropped off. He racked up a lot of wins while fsu, clemson and miami where down. He has failed to improve with the competition.

It will be interesting to see how they treat the hometown boy.

Would be better to just hire Phil back. Beamer is just Fulmer with weird jowl on one side of his face. Fulmer would at least know his way around town.

What if Beamer gets the axe at va tech? Hell, I think I actuallly just want Bud Foster who could stop the bleeding. I'll probably get a lot of folks who will yell at me for this post but oh well

Beamer is a great coach, but he's probably close to retirement. Plus, I don't think VT is going to fire him for having one losing season in the last 20 years. There are about 115 programs in NCAA I-A football that would kill for that sort of record.

I was doing some research on this a few weeks ago, but I think Virginia Tech has the third longest streak of winning seasons in the nation; only behind Florida and Florida State. Unless VT wins out it will come to an end this year, but that's still an incredible run.
