The child and his mother are with God now and no more harm can come to them.

Knew what this was about before I opened it. I can't fathom how a person gets to that place. Devastating.

I think that's what I am having the hardest time understanding is how a "father" could get to that point that he would want to shoot his eight year old son.

That community is going to need a lot of prayers. Their families, friends, school staff. Lord help them.

Anybody remember Richard Howard? He was from Oak Ridge, played for Tennessee and had a short stint with the Ravens. He did basically the same thing a few years back.

The mother and the 8yo boy didn't

Everyone on Earth will die at some point. It can't be avoided. It is sad and tragic the way they lost their lives, and in this situation it reminds me of the battle between good and evil. It plays an unthinkable role in all of our lives. I know you don't know me and you most likely will dismiss what I'm going to say. I've never done drugs and I'm not schizophrenic. I have on more than one occasion encountered the spirit world, and a few times it was with people that were entirely sober. Looking back, I think they served as warnings to me and my friends, as some of us were heading down the wrong path. I'm not claiming to understand everything, and I have no way to prove to anyone what I witnessed, but it was tremendously frightening.

As shocking as it is, this type of murder/suicide of family members is not that uncommon. There is actually a researcher here at the USF Medical School who studies this. It is almost always the male who commits the act. That person is the ultimate control freak so when things spin out of control in his mind, he goes crazy.

My prayers for all the family involved in this shooting in Ga.

Wonder if he has met with the guy who threw the little girl off the bridge by Ft. DeSoto. Talk about a depressing field of study!

Probably. It's a woman and I do not think it is an accident she is at USF. I truly think Florida has more than its share of people who are seriously unstable.

You ain't kidding. The first week we moved down here was when the 2 officers in Tampa were killed by Dontae Morris. Another officer in ST Pete killed and they tore down the house that he barricaded himself in. We were asking ourselves what the heck we were thinking moving here. We turn on bay news 9 nightly and literally ask what did these crazy -ss people do today.
