This is BIG NAPA done with Waltrip

Nothing against NAPA, as there is one pretty close to me, i have just always gone to Advance Auto. NAPA's website is not very good, in my opinion. The big NAPA store on Middlebrook normally has all the odd ball stuff that i can not get at Advance, but their showroom sucks as does their customer service. The Farragut store has a much better showroom, but they normally send me to Middlebrook to pickup parts.

For what it is worth, I have really started ordering all my non-time sensitive parts from RockAuto. They are about 40% cheaper on most parts across the board. For example: I replaced my entire A/C system in my Durango this summer (compressor, condenser, expansion valve, accumulator, and pressure switches) for 300$. Just the compressor locally was 230$ for the same exact compressor.

I like rock auto. I was able to save a nice bit of money on my brake job with parts from them.

Yea the Middlebrook store is the main distribution center for the area. That Farragut store is new isn't it? What year is your Durango?

Yep. I also remember when Auto Zone used to be called Auto Shack.

Damn, I had forgotten about that, LOL. I'm getting old. As for the OP in this thread, I feel like there's more to this story than we'll probably ever know. This kind of crap has been going on in Nascar forever, and all of a sudden NAPA just can't be part of it? Really? What about a few years back when Waltrip got busted for cheating at Daytona? That was ok, but this is just over the line? Doesn't add up to me.

I've been a NASCAR fan since I was a kid in the 70s. I went to all 3 races at Bristol in August and there was plenty of empty seats at the cup race. NASCAR picks and chooses where to take action the same as it always has. I wonder if they would have had the same reaction if had been the 88 and 48 involved?

I don't like Waltrip but respect NAPA parts and have always used them (IMO they have the best parts). It's nice to see a big time sponsor where the advertising benefits locally owned mom and pop businesses. I hope to still see a NAPA car on the track in 14.
