I respectfully disagree also. Tebow will be lucky to even play in the pros. Tebow throws short passes mostly and runs the ball for 5 to 10 yards. He's miles from being the best player ever....geesh.

His passes are alot of times very wobbly so that means that the receivers at Florida have also been very good to catch his passes!!! By the way Tebow (I can't stand him) is a great player but Gators success has been because of good coaching, recruiting and most everyone they put on the field came out of high school highly recruited... So I would give their success to an all around package...

We are talking about college football. It has nothing to do with the pros.

Isn't any teams success due to an "all around package"?

Not that I endorse Florida by any means, but for them to crush GA like they did is too funny. The kicker being that Tebow surpassed Herschel Walker's record before the half! That's so funny it hurts!:post-4-1090547912:

The VOLS played well last night and creamed USCjr, so I'm a happy man today. Didn't like the black jerseys, but at least they didn't have names on the back.

Is that a black tatoo in your avatar?

Of course Alabama will rank a little higher on the hate list for me then Florida....but I'm also old school. But over the past 10-15 years Florida has moved up quite close to Alabama on the hate-o-meter.

I hate to lose to Alabama, I don't hate Alabama.

It is probably fair to say, however, that I hate Florida more than I love the Vols. I know that is a sad statement.

Thus, Bama is my biggest rivalry -- mainly because I respect them. I can't consider a team for which I have no respect (Fla) a rival.

JMHO...

I fail to find humor in this. I'd cheer for anyone else in the country over Florida any day. This is a prime example of how Tennessee-Florida is not a huge rivalry. There is not near enough hate in the relationship

If we played them 7 days a week for 365 days and beat them 145-0 every time, and their stadium burned down every other week, it still wouldn't be enough...how's that for ya?

Herschel did it in three years. Sure Tebow is a QB---but in reality he is a RB that can throw. Herschel is the best college player I have ever seen. Tebow may be the second best---but If you saw Herschel---hmmm

I would say the top college players in my lifetime are Herschel, Bo Jackson, and Barry Sanders. Teeblow is not even on the list. I think that Manning was a far better QB than TT ever was.

What all around package??? During the GA game the announcers made some remark about timmy's having accounted for something like 216 of the gators 240 yards of offense. If that is the case, than timmy IS the gator offense, and their running backs are weak at best. That is more than likely what the reality of FU football is right now, but unfortunately based on that, timmy will win the hypeman this year, because he literally carries that team on his back. Hence the stupidity of early season rankings and the hypeman in general. And, since he only knows how to run an offense out of the shotgun, he won't be calling plays on Sundays next year either... well, maybe with a clipboard, but who cares about that anyway?

The resentment towards UF and Tebow is palpable. Worse than I've seen it before, even the week of the UT-UF game.

I think Volnation just has "Florida Fatigue," at this point.

I think you are giving Eli too much credit

People are tired of looking at those disgusting colors day in and day out. And the fact that UM is such a weasel just makes it hard to not hate yall. It's completely beyond me that yall have fans outside of florida. Anybody that's been down there before and encountered a FU fan would instantly change their mind. Just goes to show that 1/3rd of the population really is stupid. South Park wasn't joking.

Spikes should be kicked out of football for that...thats different than swinging at another player...that was malicious...obviously no character....sound off about it...im intrested in hearing everybody's thoughts.

What did I say in my post that isn't true? I couldn't care less about timmy personally. He is a good kid and all that, and maybe you are correct that we have "Florida fatigue". But the Spikes incident, the fact that FU is playing a meaningless schedule this year while hanging onto a number one ranking, the whole officiating debacle, etc, is disgusting. The resentment towards FU isn't just within the VN either; it's starting to catch on elsewhere. Meyer blew it with Spikes, and I hope it truly blows up in his arrogant face.

In some respects.. he certainly was. They were both leaders. Manning was a far better passer, but in college, I'd rather have tebow on 3rd and short. In the pros, it's a much much different story. timmy will never approach Peyton in talent at the next level. Never.

I don't like Tebow at all but to not admitt how good of a football player he is is not being honest.

Notice I wrote football player, not quarterback. He is easily one of the best college football players ever. He is not necessarily one of the best quarterbacks ever.
