After disastrous start, Scott Frost thinking big for future

Great summary of Frost at Nebraska. I think we saw some of this from Pruitt this year but I haven't looked at stats that deeply. My question going forward is, does Pruitt have the leadership ability to get people to buy in. I'm encouraged that so many of his former players have glowing things to say about him. He may not be as infectious as Frost, but if we get going in the right direction it will look the same. What do you all think?

Did you read the article? Clearly showed stats backing it up. That is indeed what elite coaches do.

If we had our guy they would at least announce that he is finishing bowl season or NFL playoff season to drum up excitement. They don’t have anyone which is why they won’t even be that specific.

Not clear at all. Perhaps it's a bowl or NFL season. More likely is contractual negotiations. The folks at FSU are going through the same issues. The "Briles is gone" crap remains pure crap at this point. Hell, even Peyton Manning is under contract to ESPN. Perhaps a potential OC has issues with some of the existing staff and that needs to be settled. Give it a break.

So you think we’re after someone with more baggage than Briles and this delay is the vetting process?

I believe TBs intel that Helton is being very candid with OCs about his time under Pruitt and the offensive team they would be inheriting.

Occams Razor people. It makes simple sense that we don't have a guy yet, and FSU doesn't either because they are a dumpster fire.

No, I don't think it is part of the vetting process. I didn't mention that. I do suspect contract issues or other timing "things." I think the decision is in hand but simply cannot be announced for any number of potential reasons.

Helton has more issues than the UT OC that will replace him.
