one of the great moments in u t history !! i 'll never forget that moment for as long as i live !! i will admit that when the v t band starts playing that enter sandman riff before tech takes the field is also a rush (even i do hate them ) !! tennesssee taking the field ,though has a lot more tradition !! ...I thank God everyday the University of Tennessee is not Virginia Tech and the fact our program has real traditions and not just playing a crappy 90s song over the loudspeaker.

i come from a family of hokies (all 3 brothers, 1 aunt, 2 uncles, and 3 cousins) so i've been to about 30 games at lane stadium...their entrance and all of their cheers are cheesy and annoying, wwe meets high school football sort of feel. i'm a part-time hokie fan but i have never had goosebumps standing in lane stadium...i've never not had goosebumps when the T opens up and we take the field. i'm tired of all of these self loathing vol fans, we may be down right now, but i'd still rather be down as a vol than up as anyone else.

I'm not one to stand on tradition and history alone, but we should be aspiring to more than Virginia Tech's present. We're better than that.
