I'm confused, why are they weak again? You think the US should be involved on their own? What troops are we going to send? IMO we don't need to spend billions more on this place where they don't like us anyway (as the last 9yrs have shown)

It's time that we cut the military to a size that allows for defense of the homeland and nothing else. If politicians feel the need to send expeditionary forces out for "noble causes" then they should have to call for a draft.

Relax. I said K-12 because of the OP's inability to ascertain the difference in week and weak. Though maybe the emoticon would work. Didn't realize you took everything so seriously. It might be time for you to go out and have a 3 martini lunch :jawdrop:

I'm not at all sure we're in any position, financially or logistically, to do much regardless of what our leadership thinks we "should" do. I see our plate as being pretty damn full now...

I'm glad we aren't doing much of anything. I think it's ridiculous to make threats and demand Col. Krazy to step down when we don't have anything to back up the threats/demands but it's time to let other countries step up. Interestingly enough, France has been the leader.

There is a general tendency to refrain from being the grammar/spelling police on the politics site because it distracts from the message. We all make mistakes. Cheap shots are easy and juvenile.

Because right now we aren't and so if you blindly say we should then that is a legitimate criticism of Obama.

Then, when we do get involved, you holler "Hey, why are we getting involved?!" That way, you criticize Obama for doing what you criticized him for not doing.

Later, you make it more subtle, and say things like "Stupid Obama, he should have gotten us involved earlier."

Then you switch it up after that and say "Stupid Obama, he shouldn't have gotten us involved so early."

You know. Cover all the bases.
