This isn't your Daddy's Vanderbilt Team

Vandy thinks it's the cock of the walk but in reality they're being served up as drumsticks at KFC. UT played with a broken spirit from the beginning and has played the worst ball in modern UT history. Winning against us this season, is like winning against Vandy every year despite the enormous talent on the field.

are you serious???????????????????????

It's vanderbilt! They beat us but they still looked horrible while doing it!

Did we watch the same game? The OP is right. Vandy used to have the worst luck in games. It was funny to see the ball bounce the wrong way or for them to blow it in the end. This Vandy team is far from the Jerry Dinardo, Watson Brown, woody teams. They are well coached....now.

I cannot accept this as an excuse. Yes, Franklin has been roster building while we've been thumbing our @as. But, Gen. Neyland was brought in to right the ship against this crap, and to lay a foundation that shall not fail.

I refuse to accept passing the torch to Vandy to represent TN football.

Uh what game did you watch? They beat the **** out of us and they looked good, we sucked as usual. We need a leader on the field I hope Bray leaves tonight.

  • Vanderbilt is ranked 16th in defense IN THE NATION.
  • They played Florida and South Carolina to the whistle (much better than us, might I add)
  • They beat Mizzou and held them to 15 pts

I'm not exactly sure why THIS loss hurts more than the Mizzou loss.

Vanderbilt is just THAT good now. We need to stop acting like this is 2000. They're not our "little sister" anymore.

A loss to them should feel exactly like a loss to South Carolina - painful but not OMG, IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD. They're not a division II squad.

You're on crack. UT had a chance to tie or win at USCjr and Bray got blindsided. Candy wasn't that close. Fla handled Candy all day long because they had a defense and a coaching staff with a clue.

The only thing Franklin has done is bring Candy from the absolute garbage heap to an average team. It's not that hard to improve when you have been the laughingstock of the SEC for 50 years.

They still haven't beaten a team with a winning record since he's been there. Get back to me when UT gets back to being good and Candy handles UT like they did tonight. You'll be waiting awhile because it'll never happen. Whenever UT is good, they hammer Candy and they will again. Candy will never beat a good UT team. Ever.

No wins over a bowl-eligible team, but we're supposed to be content. Give me a bleeping break.

If Vandy loses to Mizzou, UT and Mississippi all three of those teams are bowl eligible this year. No state university should lose to Vandy. Give them credit.

And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

Candy is an average team at best who has beaten no one. UT is a collection of good athletes who had an incompetent coach in over his head leading them to lows this program hasn't seen in over 100 years.

they have more wins in one year then we have had in 3

They also got the benefit of playing Ole Miss and Auburn (when they completely sucked) and missed playing LSU, Bama, Miss St and Texas A & M. Franklin has had one of the easiest SEC schedules outside of UGA. Hell, I wish UT could trade Bama for Ole Miss a few times. I guarantee the next coach would find more wins against them vs Bama
