Right. When they were called VFLs after leaving UT to play for another college, I assumed that poster was being sarcastic, and just didn't bother with the blue font.My bad, either way, I don’t understand the term being used for guys who go to other schools. It’s fine if they want to leave, I have no issue with it, but seems odd to call them all VFL’s.
Yep, surprised me when he came from behind and really didn't run D SAM down but he dived and stretched out and tripped him up with his hand. We scored the next play but when I saw Slaughter do that I knew he wanted this game really bad enough to even injury himself on what basically turned out to be a meaningless play, considering 1st and goal at the one.I thought so too. I don’t even think he said anything on social media, he just talked by playing the game. I can respect that
What the lads did before they found their way to Tennessee is not part of the equation. People get to Knoxville by many routes. Is Hooker not a VFL because he played elsewhere? What about a guy like Ty Chandler who played 4 years and got a degree from Tennessee, only transferring due to getting a 4th year from Covid? How about Cade Mays, who committed to a rival despite being heavily pursued by Tennessee and even had the nerve to film himself besmirching Tennessee before eventually coming home?
What if they’re asked to leave? Or like Ty Chandler’s case where if he had been born a year earlier, he would have exhausted eligibility at UTWhat the lads did before they found their way to Tennessee is not part of the equation. People get to Knoxville by many routes.
But what they do once they're here, that matters. If they leave for another school, unless there are exceptional circumstances, they're not Vols for LIFE after that.
Hendon, of course, is. Once with us, he stayed true.
Go Vols!
