This might get ugly

That is because UT normally does things like this on the cheap (historically).
Hart is not going to be able to do that this time.

You do NOT know that for sure my friend.

That's just what you, I and many Vols fans HOPE will happen.

Most of us understand that a huge HOMERUN hire is what needs to happen very soon to get better recruiting going fast so we can try to have a great recruiting class this year.

Many factors will be taken into consideration before the amount of money is decided upon which will be offered to our next HC.

Sadly, most of those factors are NOT good at all so I have serious doubts that our big $$$ boosters will give AD Hart the kind of $$$ that we all want to be seen offered to get a solid homerun hire for our next HC.

I won't be surprised at all to see our next HC be another up and comer that's never been a HC before.

The homerun hire we all want to see will probably cost us $3 Million to $5 Million per year especially if we want to compete against NFL teams for the guy we want and I don't see that happening.

I'm guessing that we'll offer between $2 Million and $3 Million per year and I don't think that will get us anywhere close to a solid homerun hire that will make top recruits want to come to Tennessee.

I sure do hope I'm wrong about this one though.

VFL...GBO!!!

I think if hart fights to keep DD then he is dooming his own fate. I trust that he is smarter. If he makes the right move, he will be set for a long time.

I thought Hart only took the job to get football successful again and then retire. No long term relationship.

Wouldn't you want to go if you are Dooley? He clearly knows he sucks. He has to be aware that the majority of the fanbase is over OVER OVA it. If I had that buyout, I am peace out all day long....

With rumors of Dooley being fired getting many Vol fans excited for the prospects of a new coach ... could you imagine the outrage if Hart comes out tomorrow and says he is sticking with his coach. I like many think a change is inevitable, but who knows what they may be with the powers to be at the top of UT. I for one would hate to be in Hart's shoes if Dooley is allowed into another season.

I've been so disappointed it just about every team I follow it wouldn't surprise me at ALL if they kept Dooley.

With that said I hope to God they hire a BIG name proven winner that just comes in and beats the snot out of some folks next season.

According to FOX news. Dooley is done at Tennessee

Good grief. The guy is gone. Hart is waiting to see if we make a bowl so he can use the money on the structured buyout, Trust me lawyers on both sides are trying to structure it over 6 years. No announcement unless we lose to the comode doors or kturkey. He's already been fired

at this point hart has to fire dooley it would be a nightmare for ut football next year at this point if hes back. between all the fans being so stoked he is gone or thinking so at least. and the total lack of ability of dooley to coach

Hart not saying anything means CDD is gone. If he is going to retain him he need to say it or the problem becomes worse.

Dooley will only be fired if someone else pays for it! Hart does not have the funds to pay both Dooley and a new coach!

I think Hart is trying to figure out a way to keep Dooley for an additional year.

Here's a hypothetical question, what if for some reason we were guaranteed Gruden, but he wouldn't be available until 2014, could we all survive another season of Dudley Dooley?

Money is the least of the worries, control seems to be the biggest issue right now, and certain people not willing to relinquish it.

I see no way it could get uglier.

The fact that he hasn't said anything shows me that he is making a change. All the rumors circulating. I mean even espn and volquest saying things hart hasn't addressed it. So IMO the fact that he hasn't came out and said no shows me its happening.

That means nothing.
