Sums up what? That Obama uses a screen for his speeches instead of paper? It's okay to put your speech on one of those.

For those that need an explanation. One of the knocks on Obama is that he's an empty suit; he gives a good speech but there's not much "there there". Further, as pointed out he uses the teleprompter extensively (even in a press conference) and when not using one he makes gaffes. Couple that with a picture that replaces his head with a speechifying device and you get a metaphor that works.

It would be like a picture of W where a chimp was standing in front him and it appeared as if the chimp's head was W's.

(can't believe this needs explaining)

It doesn't need explaining. Everyone gets it.

I really don't think he makes gaffes, I think he slips up and tells us who he really is.

Yesterday, Obama said he's not just making promises. About that time, I stopped listening.

So if you hate Obama you like the pic? Got it. My day is now complete.

Whether you like him or not, if you follow politics at all you can appreciate the fact that the man is an incredible speaker with one and totally lost at public events without one.

i.e. He isn't a great speaker. He has only proven that he passed remedial reading at Columbia.

Right. It's not like other politicians haven't had the aid of the teleprompter. Romney, Paul, Ryan, Bush, Biden, etc.

I don't understand why your hatred of him in other areas is blinding you to the fact that he is great public speaker. I am not saying that exceptional public speaking skills equals being a great leader or a great president; but to simply deny or try to belittle his public speaking makes you look foolish.

I find his speaking predictable and repititous and totally uninspiring. It's usually a lecture not a speech.
