This pic causes me to wonder...

While I love the pic and have no issues with it, are there former players that as a current coach you shouldn't have your picture taken with? And please no one say Janzen Jackson.

Taking a picture with someone is one thing. Hell I met Mike Tyson before a taping of the Jimmy Kimmel Show when it first started. I spoke to him for about three minutes then my wife and I got our picture taken with him....all it means is I had my pic taken with a celebrity. But having an ex-con or someone with a shady criminal past around everyday/becoming personal friends with one then exposing that person to student athletes would not be wise IMHO....or at least a very highly questionable decision. Especially as the head football coach of any university.

With that being said...I do believe Jones was just showing Jamal that he is VFL family. And families have all sorts of good sheep and black sheep in them. He has said from day one ALL Ex-VOLS ARE WELCOME BACK ANYTIME so Jamal still falls under that category. So no...having a pic took with someone does not mean anything bad. Even if you absolutely despise what that person did. Plus Jones is a celebrity in his own right so he is also kind of in a strange spot to be forced into the pic as well.

:hi:

His freshman year reminded more of Hershel Walker than any other SEC back I've seen. He was nearly unstoppable. He literally could run over you or around you.

The loss in the Orange Bowl to Nebraska with Peyton, Jamal, Nash, Price, Kent, etc. etc. is a mystery for the orange-nation ages.

The O being throttled until @ 7-8 min left in the game is a mystery to me. The fact that UN beat us is not a mystery to me at all. We were capable of beating them, but not favored IMO. That was yet another special team and one with the emotion of NC hopes and a retiring legend's final game. They were better.

He made a mistake and as far as I know has corrected himself. Good lord, get over it. Most of us have made mistake or lived lives we aren't proud of. Guys kept his nose clean for a long time. I'm happy to see him in the fold as a guy who has come back to TN.
