This Should never happen! Period!

Regardless of who the coach is!

What I don't understand is why we continually let these dragging routes turn into big plays! It makes no sense. After the third or forth one, you would think that who ever is calling the defense would make some kind of adjustment. Cover the dam back out of the backfield and that guy at the end of the offensive line called the tight end.

The punting on forth down is just becoming comical or plain stupid at this juncture.

Once again we are the laughing stock of college football. I know, I know give him time, we are young blah, blah, blah. I still can't stomach it.

I just need to vent. Sad thing is I usually look forward to college football. Not any more. I even hate college gameday now. In the past I couldn't wait until Saturday mornings, now I have as much interest in the History Channel.

The excuses are getting trite. WE are the Jaguars of college fb. Each year we say- it will be better in a couple years . It is embarrassing- we are so pitiful now , even ESPN is feeling sorry for us.

And it begins. Step away for a couple years and let the grown ups handle this. You obviously can't.

I wouldn't disagree at this point. I have never been one to advocate doing that because I just don't believe that we should EVER be in a position to have to.

Not sure why I am letting this get to me because I fully expected us to get blown out.

I knew we would lose, but I thought that we could compete with them for at least a half. This looks like a good college team playing an average HS team. WTF?

I really wish we could purge Volnation of people like the OP. Really stupid post "no matter who the coach is" is a dumb statement.

I like how it's somehow the coaches fault that Oregon is a really, REALLY good team and UT doesn't have a lot of good players.

Have you ever thought that maybe they don't have anyone that can cover well? Or players fast enough for Oregon?

I understand the frustration of the punts, but do you honestly think it will make a difference? Go away.

I will probably get flamed for this so just flame on...(its why I rarely post anyway) I think this game should have been bought out or dropped from the schedule. Its a rebuilding year with a new coach and staff. Its outcome could have a bad effect on the team for the rest of the season. They will either learn from it and grow or just chunk the rest of the season.
I do believe CBJ is the right man for the job but the was a major undertaking for our team and its staff. We usually have an open week after the 1st 2 games to prepare for UF and that should have been kept. 2 wins are wins and keep the team up for that game, but going to Florida are a beating like this will have repercussions
All of this is JMHO....flame away..
Let's just concede the Bama, Florida, Georgia, and SC games while we're at it that would give a good effect on the rest of the team when we Ohio State our way to a 11-1 record.

I just love people that can read but can't comprehend what is written.

Never thought Virginia's offense would put up more points than ours against a common opponent...or that VA's defense would hold Oregon to a lower total than ours.

Well didn't take long for the idiots to jump off the bandwagon.

Really WTF did you expect? Us to go in and compete with Worley as QB against the #2 team in the country?
I love it how brave you are to call me an idiot on a forum. WTF did I expect? Us to be just a bit more competitive. Maybe lose by 21 instead of freaking 45 in the third quarter!

ANY time you buy out a game you are basically telling your team you don't believe in them and that they suck. NOTHING could have a more negative effect.

Yep, the Cavaliers played them harder. That is the point some are trying to make but the bunch of smart a$$es on here won't let them. They are beating us worse than an ACC joke.

For those of you who say the 'real season starts next week', I throw the BS flag. My goal is not to just be good in the SEC, but to be a national power. This game shows us just how far away we are from that.

Oh, you mean after we beat South Alabama? Until we figure out how to play QB, Cover a back out of the backfield or a tight end, learn how to cover punts, or maybe make a tackle in the open field, thats the only game we might win the rest of the season.

Very silly and laughable post. Thanks.

You're just blinded by the fact UT SHOULD be a good team when the reality is Oregon is great and UT isn't build for this and is NOT a good team. You have a crappy QB, little WRs, bad coverage, good players injured, little depth... what the heck DO you expect? Be competitive? I saw A LOT better of a team out there today than I have the last 3 years. Coaching decisions are a bit frustrating but none of it would've mattered.
