Why? They'll still play Texas and will get to renew their rivalries with Arkansas and LSU(which was one of the best of the '80s). They lose nothing by coming to the SEC and they avoid enraging the John Birch Society wing of their fanbase.no i haven't been there, but it doesn't suprise me. just kind of sad. no one in pac-10 country is crying over losing them either, but it seems pretty stupid of them
You implied it would be the downfall of Texas football.
You seem to be missing the fact that this will open up California even more as a recruiting ground for Texas and OU.No, I implied it would disrupt the "Texas Empire". They'll actually have a tougher conference schedule now and we'll see just how dominant they'll be in the Pac-16.
A strong SEC presence would start to eat away at the fat of Texas recruiting.
I never meant to imply that Texas would somehow fall off the face of the earth. Texas has been dominant this decade record-wise, yet still has only 2 Big-12 championships since the BCS area began. That's with Oklahoma and Nebraska being the only main competition. Let's see how it goes when you add USC, Oregon, and others with OU.
Still, Texas will still get the main block of Texas recruits, but more and more will look to the SEC if a strong presence is established.
You think I missed Torrance Marshall's interception return that broke your pathetic hearts and got OU to the Orange Bowl in 'OO? Do you think I wasn't there in '04 when you thought you could derail the AP led Sooners? Wake up.Hat has been to Kyle? Get the hell outta here......
