No. My expectations were to have a winning record and not lose to bad teams after they went down to the wire against Duke and Memphis.

The same reason they beat Uconn and Florida is why I had expectations for a winning record. This isn't a bad team... they just have some bad losses.

I seriously don't know when our fan base started having low expectations. It's not even like I said anything bad. I just said I expected a little more. Suddenly you have to accept crap and can't even say "I expected more" without upsetting people. You'd think I were in the group calling for Dooley and Martin's head. Part of the people saying they suck. All I said was I'm happy with the win and I support him. I mention his poor losses and expecting a better record and people throw feces. Great... you're mad at me for bringing up the teams losses, all 12 of them. I'm the bad guy for bringing up the Austin Peay loss.

I could care less what other people predicted. Everybody on this site had a prediction along with every other person who watches sports. I don't care what other people expected. I'm a fan, I support this team and I expected more than being .500. Again, sorry if this offends anyone. It's not like I've insulted Martin or called for his head. I just expected more and have said I'm willing to give him time. I'm such an unreasonable person...

note the bolded part! predictions are usually done BEFORE something begins. alot of peoples minds changed a bit after we saw what this team could do in maui and was capable of.

that was your problem though, you watched us against memphis and duke and said well we played with 2 top 10 teams we should beat everyone ranked less than 10. thats not the way that it works, especially with a young and inexperienced team like we have.

why did UK lose to indiana? would they be a dissaopintment

why did duke lost to fsu? would they be a dissapointment

why did murray state lost to tennessee tech? would they be a dissapointment?

my point is losses to lesser talented teams do happen, it is part of the game. for you to EXPECT ccm come in and in his first year NOT HAVE these losses says enough about your expectations you had.

Pearl's first year?

Not going to start that argument...

I'm just happy this team is above .500 now. I believed Martin would lead us to a better record from the start but I'm patient. I had a little higher expectations. I'm in his corner though regardless of my like for Bruce.

Hopefully he can keep it up and get more of these quality wins in the future. On top of beating the bad teams that they should have beaten.

I don't want to argue either, but pearl had a lot more talent with which to work.

Patric young is the biggest wuss ive ever seen.

at first glance dude is scary looking, when you let hall push you around you should have a spot in the locker room, not even the bench.

to me they physicality inside to start the game set the tone, we wanted to play, uf shyed away from it.
Young's inconsistent. He outplayed Sullinger when we played Ohio State; he played very well in the first half against UK. He has too much talent to completely bench and not give a second thought to. But, yeah, he was soft today, and got completely pushed around. He needs to play like he did against OSU and Arizona or we're going nowhere fast.

I'm complaining? Beating Uconn and Florida twice is three quality wins. Losing to Oakland, Austin Peay and Charleston is three bad losses. I'm not complaining, I'm stating facts. The team is hot and cold, they win 3 good games, lose 3 bad ones and that's why they're .500. I wasn't complaining at all. If you equate stating facts to complaining, maybe you should complain because you're unhappy with the facts. They are what they are... 13-12 with some good wins and some bad losses. I said I support him. Sorry if the truth hurts?

At Oakland when we lost is not a bad loss. College of Charleston will win their conference, so that is not a bad loss. Keep in mind we lost to them last year with alot more talent and on our home court. The Austin Peay loss is a bad loss and should not have happened, but our team last year lost to Indianapolis in an exhibition game. I'm glad you support Cuonzo, but don't act like everything was sunshine and rainbows towards the end of Pearl's tenure here.

Oakland loss is a bad loss regardless of how anyone wants to spin in it. They are 14-13 and 8-7 in conference. If losing to an SEC team with a similar record (Georgia) is considered a bad loss, then losing to a mid-major with 7 conference losses in the Summitt League is as well.

At the time it wasn't. But now it is. Should have beat them.
