This Week's Very Different Trap...

I Hope it is not Pearls swan song. I for one would be willing to endure even a 3 year ban which worst mentioned has been 2. I am one of the few that has gone to all but maybe one or two games a year regardless of the slop that was out on the court all the way back to Stokely. Go Vols tomorrow and get another marquee win for the tourney resume and as Hat mentioned. if Georgia and Vandy lose a Vols win would mean a 1st round conference tourney buy

Assuming you're correct about this being Pearl's swan song, who do you realistically think makes Knoxville, TN their new home?

Great article Hat. Much better then the junk on GVX. Really pumped for the game tomorrow.

Excellent article. My question is, if Pearl is not going to remain as coach, would it not be best for him and the university for him to gracefully resign at the end of this season? It seems a dangerous plan for the university to wait until possibly October for the NCAA ruling to decide his fate. I truly believe if the university believes he should go, then it should be at the end of the season so we have adequate time to hire a new coach and don't destroy recruiting for two or three seasons. I'm curious as to your thoughts Hat? Will he leave at the end of the season or will UT wait until sanctions come down?

That would be the best outcome for all parties. Pearl would get credit for accepting responsibility for his actions and UT would be able to move forward.

That write up was well done. Even I, a basketball novice, came away understanding what went down Sunday. Thanks Hat.
