Thor The Dark World
8.0 out of 10
References to avengers movie, and first thor movie. There is multiple twists in this movie, Loki continues to be delusional seriously reminds me of Lucifer of Supernatural refusing to believe he's responsible for his actions and him in a dungeon is his fault.
I thought it would have a lot more action but still happy with the amount it has, enough lighthearted moments to keep this from being to somber.
As expected both Jane and Thor are affected not having the other for two years.
Extra scene shown interrupting credits that you'll want to see, also one extra at the end with Thor returning and a happy predictable kissing Jane along with some giant animal I think maybe a frost giant eating birds still on earth.

Malekith has a unique voice and appearance and when he's on the screen never a dull moment. There is a epic climax with a fantastic finish by Thor.
The guy I thought was the powerhouse Kurse appears and is done justice as he easily made thor bleed easily like doomsday did to superman Thor's hammer had no damage to this freakin beast appears for a good amount of time he's not wasted, and the visual appearance is done justice if you want Kurse that resembles the comic book version.

Saw it tonight in 2D. I thought it was on par with the original (which I liked). Growing up, Thor and Iron Man were my favorite 2 Marvel comics.

As a huge fan of the comic I do have one small qualm with the films. Why does Thor not wear his winged helmet?? IMO that is the coolest part of his costume!

That bothers me too. He wore it in the ceremony scene in the first one and that's it. It's supposed to be a battle helmet. Wear it in battle.

Just speculation & I'm just guessing here but maybe the film makers didn't want to spoil Chris Hemsworth good looks w/the ladies that go & see this movie. I know I wouldn't want them to spoil the beauty of Jamie Alexander by putting a helmet on her.

Sif she kicks ass and looks hot while kicking ass.

Also a moment for Ian to look cool in movie that impresses Darcy

Ridiculous! Hemsworth chews up PLENTY of screen time in these movies while not in battle. I'm speaking strictly of when he is in battle, he should be wearing his helmet.

Again, that's just the nit picky comic nerd in me and the fact that Thor (along with Iron Man) was my favorite comic character as a kid. I just think his winged helmet is iconic and should absolutely be shown more in these films!

Did anybody notice any product placement in this one? It's usually one of the first things I notice, but nothing stood out to me.

Box of Shreddies cereal and the can of Vimto were all that stuck out to me.

Is this photoshop?

I think that climax fight is possibly the best in super hero movie history no doubt top five.
Loki seriously seems like Scar of the Lion King.

Bitter about living in the shadow of his brother Thor, believes he should be king, callous and brazen enough to do anything to become King.

Available on Starz on Demand. Just watched it. Thought it was well done and the Collector scene in the credits is very revealing as to Marvel Studios' future plans. Added to the Thanos scene from Avengers with the upcoming GotG movie, you can see they're clearly building to the Infinity Gauntlet. The storyline possibilities they have in that build up are endless. Hopefully we'll see Mar-Vell and Carol Danvers in there somewhere.

Just watched the Blu-Ray version....still excellent the second time around.

Did anyone else watch the Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King short in the Bonus Features? It tees up the actual Mandarin storyline through a prison interview with Trevor from Iron Man III. Worth checking out.
