Thoughts from all of our Florida fans on the board

lawgator just said it but, i'm going to say it one more time.

the better team lost because they screwed the pooch. Would lead me to believe the team that "screwed the pooch" was clearly not the better team, then.

statistically, the game was not close. miami won three statistical categories, the one that counts (points), penalties and turnovers.
And redzone conversion rate, sacks, etc. But you're right, we won in the three most important: points, redzone conversions and turnovers.

in every other statistical category that usually determines who wins or who loses, florida did not merely have an edge in the game, they dominated.

total first downs, total yardage, 3rd down conversions, time of possession, etc, etc, etc.

clearly miami made the plays necessary to win the game or florida failed to make the plays to win the game as the scoreboard had miami with more points than florida, which in the end is all that matters.

i have seen florida get their rear end handed to them on many occasions. several of those were by miami. this was not one of those occasions. this was a game where they outplayed their opponent but lost.

I'll disagree. Miami didn't dominate Florida, but we outplayed you guys. We don't hand out any points for moving the ball between the twenties. I hate to use the cliche but Dinofrio's zone blitz defense is a "bend but don't break" defense. Driskell just couldn't handle the disguised coverages in the short field. It wasn't bad luck on Florida's part, it was Florida playing a quarterback who couldn't read a defense.

But it was a good game.
