That's BS and you know it, winning the NC doesn't guarantee you a preseason top 5 ranking.
I tried telling you and the other UK fans on here UK would struggle and may not even be ranked and I was laughed at...
Why would my panties be a wad? Kentucky won't be the only good team next year. I'm glad you feel entitled to poke your chest our because of a preseason poll. I said lol because you guys have been talking about next years team for awhile now. Everyone is awareQuite the manifesto for someone who doesn't care. The article is a kentucky site, but quotes polls/articles from prominent AP sources.
My point is simple and needs no interpretation. Carolina sucked last season also and got drummed by their biggest rival, and Ol Roy has been taking a beating lately on this board. It's 16 hours after the title game and already UK is at the top of the food chain and he is pissed about it.
I understand his panties are wadded up, but the "lol" is irony to me.
They just base rankings on the recruiting classes they have. Doesn't mean anything. Just look at UCLA, they got the #1 recruiting class this year and they didn't win a national title. I don't know why UK fans think when they get a #1 recruiting class, they're an automatic contender for a national title?
Preseason rankings aren't just based off recruiting rankings, but do factor it in heavily. There are also differences in recruiting classes. UK had the #1 class last year and most of us knew that a sweet sixteen was the max this team could go, and hell they didn't even do that.
However, those that can judge talent can tell when a team is special and when they aren't. They appear to have great chemistry together, much like the 12 squad. That was NEVER the case with this years team.
They may not win it all, but this team is certifiably a contender for the title next year.
Did you just say the 7 incoming freshman, and 5 returning scholarship players that haven't played a game together "appear to have great chemistry"?
I'm quite sure that 50% of your 98,403 posts are simply you quoting back to someone what they said in question form. Yes, that is exactly what I said. Chemistry doesn't just pertain to on the court.
Did you watch some YouTube video of them cracking jokes to come to this conclusion? Thats crazy man, to say that they have great chemistry when they haven't practiced one time yet.
I know more about my team, and about its incoming class and whats going on than you do, just as I would suspect the same for you and NC. But, maybe not. Some understand it, some don't, and it really doesn't matter to me if anyone in this thread can comprehend.

"I told you they were overrated! No one was listening to me but I said they were absolutely not going to make it! No chance; I said they needed experience! I was right!"

You didn't think UK was a top 25 team last year preseason?
I follow my team as close as anyone follows their team, but I honestly have no idea at this point what kind of chemistry Robert Hubbs and Jordan McRae will have, or Trae Golden and Darius Thompson will have, or even Derek Reese and AJ Davis will have.
So just curious...what have you seen that tells you Alex Poythress and let's say Julius Randle have great chemistry together already?
There's only 1 ball to play with. We'll see how those young Kentucky recruits "work" together. If they can that is....
