All we heard about before the Pitt game was how much more physical they were than UT and especially on the LOS. UT was the far more physical team. Similar things were said before UF and LSU... specifically LSU.Dan Harralson posted this: After playing Heupel's coaching tree earlier this season, Saban discussed the offense with better personnel. "They’re sort of challenging with some of the things that they do - we’re going to play teams that are much more physical, aggressive and talented than what they are.”
I take this as fighting words especially the last part. Thoughts?
UT is a physical team. UT's "aggression" is within the scope of their system on O. More aggression on D has been a point of emphasis for Heupel. The talent... kind of agree. What Heupel is doing is pretty amazing. For the first time in all of my time as a Vol fan going back to the early 90's... UT has a coach who gets more out of a roster than the sum of the talent of its parts. A LOT MORE.
