Thoughts post Alabama

We played Bama better than we played Oregon. So I say we saw improvement. Saban tried to hang more points on us than we allowed him to.

Okay, we played Oregon week of 3 of the season so nobody was not beat up from the beatings week in and week out. So they were fresh and our guys were learning their new schemes. Bama did what we expected. I think it would be a great game to watch from a fan's perspective. Johnny football gave Saban fits the last two years and Dobbs has some of that kind of talent based on his hs skills. I like the future view!!

GO VOLS!!!!

I think Oregon is the best team in the nation right now, and FSU/Alabama might be a close second. It's unfortunate that a lot of officials like to suck on Bucknuts, because Ohio State is not nearly on the same caliber as the other three imo.

1. Forget about Saturday. It was just something Team 117 had to get through. In all honesty, after Amari's first TD reception, they did as well as anyone could have asked.

2. I'm convinced Bama will grind Oregon or Fl State into dust when the time comes. I hope Texas puts down $15M for Saban.

3. I think Justin Worley and Matt Simms will go down in history as the most under-rated QBs in Tennessee history. Worley has improved, and he has on his resume something Tyler Bray will never have - a Top 15 victory.

However, I think Worley has played his last down for Tennessee.

4. You have to admire what Team 117 and Butch have done this year. The Florida game still irks me, but there is no doubt we should be proud of our team and our coaches.

5. Dobbs impressed against the Bama first team, no doubt about that. Which makes me wonder - how good is Ferg?

6. The goal for Team 117 is a bowl game. I actually think 7 wins is doable. Mizzou is improved, but we dominated them until the Dooley halftime and OT demotivation. Team 117 is actually better than Team 116 with all that NFL talent.

7. Better times are ahead for Tennessee. Team 117 might have gone on strike a la Grambling with this brutal schedule and with Dooley still at the helm. Proud of this team.

1: Agreed. Held out hope it would be closer, but it is what it is. Saban's still a classless douchebag.

2: No. Emphatically no. **** Bama. I hope they get skull drug by LSU in two weeks, and if that doesn't happen, I hope Oregon, FSU, or (*shudder*) OSU kicks the **** out of them. I give exactly zero ***** about "SEC dominance in the NC game". I want Bama to lose, I'm sick and ******* tired of them and their idiot fans.

3: Point A is a maybe. Point B is....plausible, unfortunately. Sucks that Worley had to be the sacrificial lamb, but it is what it is.

4: Yup. My wife, who admittedly knows little about football has said repeatedly that Tennessee has their guy in Coach Jones, the improvement is coming weekly, and things will soon turn around on Rocky Top. She also noticed that this team (unlike previous years) absolutely refuses to quit. I echo her statements.

5: Makes one wonder, doesn't it?? I'm kind of anxious to see it myself.

6: I think we make a bowl easily (we DO still have Vandy and Kentucky on the schedule, LOL). Iunno about "better than 116", though. Give it a few years to see who shakes out. With the exception of Messr. North, though.....that kid's an animal, is going to be an animal, and I'm **** glad he's in Orange.

7: See point 4. Better days are coming, Vol faithful.

Oh, and **** Bama.
