What's really ironic is that on 9-11 my Dad was about to hop on a plane in Cincinnatti when everything got grounded? He's got really bad timing when it comes to terrorist threats.

Note to self: Don't fly when GAVol's dad is flying. :birgits_giggle:

Can you please give me a head's up the next time he's about to fly? I want to cancel any reservations I might have on that day. You might not want to tell this story too often. Homeland Security will have your father on a watch list.

That's exactly what I told him when I talked to him. The CIA just needs to get a copy of his intinerary.

Definateley a trend building to GAVol's family. If I would choose to be stuck anywhere London would be high on the list. Pubs and Guinness to pass the time. Cincinatti on the other hand....

what does that even mean.

You referenced "People in this country living with their heads in the sand". Been around and seen many different perspectives. Do not live with my head in the sand as I would guess many on this board do not. Some of the "older" members have served and have been on the other side of the fence and this why they have the opinions and beliefs they do.

Think this exchange is getting a bit out of hand. Didn't mean to get on you that way. Just take it for what its worth.

No problem I do not take offense. I just don't think the first response to what could have been an awful event, should be taking shots at the current administration, and I am not even a Bush fan. I do think their is an element in this country that sees the US as the problem, and that is what irritates me.

As amped up as I was this morning, the cartoon was a little much, but I thought the "Wear matching sweaters" comment was pretty good.

I had just listened to someone explaining the threat levels and their color codes and it sounded a little silly.

Vader, I'm disappointed in you. When consuming Cincinnati chili, one must go all the distance and have a 5 way.

Has you father noticed any persons of Arab descent taking photographs of his house?

Just what I thought, come on do better than that. Don't you have a cartoon or something to throw on the post, your usual method of debate.

I am happy to have a conversation. I do not have a Young Republican chip by the way. I do not find people having intentions to blow up passenger airliners funny.

I find that people in this country have their heads stuck in the sand as to who the enemy is the repulsive part.

 You're not a Bush fan? :eek:lol: Yeah right.

My suggestion: If you don't like the first response, you should get up earlier and make your own first response. You know what they say, the early bird gets the worm.
