Well I suppose you don't need to be quite as fast to be an OL. Id really like to have 320+ pound Tackles.

"Emmanuel Moseley is the one individual at corner that continually impresses. He's extremely competitive, fights for the ball in the air, is like a sponge - takes everything that Coach Martinez tells him (and) tries to apply it to his game. We just need to get him bigger and stronger to compete at a high level come August and then into September into football season. But I really like what he's bringing to the table." - CBJ

"Jalen Reeves-Maybin is continuing to learn little nuances that it takes to play winning football at the linebacker position." - CBJ

It will be very nice to have two good corners that can actually run with SEC 4.5 receivers.

Force the QB to hold on to the ball longer and it will produce more sacks.

"They (Helm and Wolf) are every bit as good as we thought they were in the recruiting process. Both of them are going to play as true freshman. I thought Ethan had one of his better days today. Daniel continues to develop. But I've been very, very pleased with both. These two individuals should be in high school right now. They're extremely competitive. They're very intelligent. They're tough. They're tough-minded. They can catch the football and both of them are playmakers on offense for us. So, I've been very excited about those two individuals." - CBJ

Daniel Lewis ‏@DanielNooga 3m
Jones said they've been considering moving Carr to offensive tackle for awhile. They will decide after a few more practices.

Sorry, missed this. Deleted my duplicate post.

On Cam Sutton: "Still nowhere where he needs to be from a physicality standpoint - from his Cover 2, from his rerouting of the receiver. He's had a quiet spring, which is probably a good thing. We've challenged him with 1-on-1's and he's being challenged with our receiving corps. He's going through the nuances, too, of going through a spring. And these are all new learning experiences. These individuals aren't used to the grind of spring football and the practices because they are different than in-season. In training camp, there is no school. Now you're balancing basically going through a training camp and school. The rigors of really being a student-athlete really comes into play in the spring - you know, the balancing act and the mentality that it comes (with). But, I've been pleased with his spring." - CBJ

I don't know why, but college defensive backs are dense when it comes to one fundamental--knowing when to turn and look for the ball. They almost never do it, which is why receivers catch passes all the time when they are fairly well covered--because the DB is looking at them when the ball arrives instead of having his head turned to find the ball. You see this on the 1-1 drills on this video: The WR makes a cut and heads for the back corner of the end zone--and the DBs are all looking at the WR when the ball arrives. You've got to recognize when the ball is likely to arrive--and find the ball.

Our defense really worries me this year

Won't be any worse then the last 2 years. They will be faster but idk if they will be any better. People make a big Deal out of the D Line and rightly so. They are a work in progress at best right now but the D Line still sucked with all those upperclassman the last couple years. Can't be any worse.
