Ticket prices for the NC game in Atlanta.

Keep in mind there’s 35 year old UGA fans who weren’t alive the last time UGA was in this position, and the game is in their back yard.

I paid $750 for a ticket 5 rows up on the 40 yard line for the 2007 BCS title game against Ohio State 11 years ago.

$2500 is insanity.

I had 4 tickets at the NC game in '99. I believe face value was $150 each. I had 2 on about the 35 yard line and 2 in the corner of the endzone. I only needed 2 so I needed to sell the other pair. Only could get $50 each on the corner endzone seats. There were a lot of FSU and UT fans there, but most people already had tickets and the locals could care less. Most weren't going. Of course, this was before the internet really took off and before Stubhub and other online ticket sites.

This year's ticket prices will be insanity. You'd think UGA fans are going to outnumber Bama fans by quite a bit because it's in their backyard and because Bama fans have been there and already done that.

Atlanta "day of game" drive for each team. Money otherwise spent on airfair and hotel can go directly into tickets. Also, Supply/demand is high due to venue and first sentence.

LOL What a bunch of buffoons that would pay those prices. I wouldn't pay that if UT were playing. It's on TV, and I can buy a case of beer for what you will pay for 1 in that stadium.

Truth. The closer you got to the stadium, the more desperate the scalpers were. They were throwing them at us.

Can’t wait to see the Videos on YouTube of the fights that will happen at the tailgates and in the stadium.

Prices seem to be coming down a little...except for my man in section 102, row 42 who is asking $1,000,000 each! LOL!

That is great. I have a neighbor who has had his house on the market for as long as I have known him for twice what it is worth. It is his "make me move" price.

The guy in section 102 is holding firm. I like his style:

StubHub!

A few colleagues of mine and Clemson alums purchased tickets a while back. As much as they were upset to see Clemson lose, they said they sold the tickets at a more than a 300% profit to some UGA alums. I guess that makes everything feel a little bit better. Needless to say they are UGA fans tonight.

Nothing wrong with pocketing some additional coin when you can! :good!:

Insanity even... :)

It was a once in a lifetime chance to meet up with old friends in Las Vegas before watching what we thought would be a sure loss to Ohio State in Glendale. We were pleasantly surprised.

It’s unlikely I’d spend that much again on championship tickets again...it’s also unlikely I’ll find myself in a position to be looking for championship tickets anytime soon.

Yep, I know a fellow UF alum up in Atlanta who bought SECCG tickets back in 1992 and kept them over the years.

He’s made crazy money off Bama and UGA fans over the past 25 years.
