These tickets were Austin Peay,120.00 dollars!!It cost over 200.00 dollars now to go to a game after you pay for food, consessions and gas money even to a Austin Peay game!People will begin to stay at home and watch!!This is the double edged sword of success. More success = more demand. How were the tickets purchased? Seat Geek, Stub Hub are both resale sites that charge their own (excessive) fees. Don’t think I’ve ever bought football tickets through Ticketmaster. Maybe they own the resale sites too? Honestly I was interested in going to the UVA game until I saw the 12:30pm kickoff. Oh well.
This was Austin Peay!
Austin Peay game!!
No,they are not lower level seats!!The added fees is what I'm talking about being rediculous! These tickets were for Austin Peay game 120..00 dollars!

Going to Calhoun's, tailgating, hearing the band crank up Rocky Top, the roar of the crowd when the T opens, 100,000 screaming fans from snap 1 till the clock hits 00:00, and lastly but most importantly memories with my son that will last a lifetime. You can't get that atmosphere at home no matter how good your setup is (and I've got a great one). I had to move to Louisville this offseason and I will still spend the money to travel to Knoxville every game that I can. Just depends on if my sons playing that day or not. An $86 ticket isn't outrageous (even with the ticket fees from Ticketmaster/Stubhub).I've pretty much stopped going to live concerts and sporting events. I don't know why anyone pays these outrageous prices

hotels are unbelievably high, food and gas too. For me, its at least one night stay. Can't believe how expensive everything is now. It's not just $86. Gas and Food and you're talking a few hundred dollars.
Just my opinion, but that's ridiculous
If you think it's worth it, then have a great time. The atmosphere at the game is incredible
The gas is a different story. That crap is as high as Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg sitting around the living room chain smoking J's together. It's not just $86. Gas and Food and you're talking a few hundred dollars.

Have you seen hotels? In my small little town on weekends now they're 175$ or more a night. Johnson City where I travel to quite a bit are 200 plus on weekends right now. Absolutely ridiculous. Pure gougingThe gas is a different story. That crap is as high as Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg sitting around the living room chain smoking J's together.

Its supply and demand. As long as someone is willing to pay it, they will continue to raise prices. For UT games, any business would capitalize on the events because its more money in their pockets. They don't care about people. It's all about the mighty dollar.Have you seen hotels? In my small little town on weekends now they're 175$ or more a night. I believe that our ticket office has a problem in letting this happen. They should not sell so many tickets to ticket Master etc. and permit them to mark up the ticket prices so much. I know, it is easier fro them, but it screws the fans who are not season ticket buyers. Fans who can not afford season tickets are now being priced out of the ability to purchase single game tickets. These fans are some of our strongest fans but don't have the resources to see games at regular prices. The same thing happens with shows and concerts which are held in public facilities. The tickets I can not use, I sell at face value. However, it is becoming difficult to determine the face value of even the games against non SEC teams. These tickets were Austin Peay,120.00 dollars!!It cost over 200.00 dollars now to go to a game after you pay for food, consessions and gas money even to a Austin Peay game!People will begin to stay at home and watch!!
