Solid Vol there @WallyBalls Well done! There’s two more left for today if any of you all on the ground in Hattiesburg see any UT folks looking for a pair.
Only price is to be loud and supportive.
Solid Vol there @WallyBalls Well done!
We need more Vols doing this so more BaseVol fans can go and support the BaseVols without paying a fortune to secondary market/scalpers! Go Vols!I vehemently detest scalpers. (Not someone that just can’t go, but the serial flippers that exist now). I bought the tickets and can’t use them, and there’s people that can and will enjoy them.
Hopefully it just adds to their stories about today.
Glad you’re going and hope y’all gave a blast! My issue is more with those fans that bought from UT with ZERO intention of attending or providing/selling to BaseVol fans. Instead, they immediately scalped or placed on secondary market for $400 a ticket. They effectively priced the Average Joe/Jane fan out of attending. We need more UT fans supporting the BaseVols—not the corporate “wine and cheese” crowd there to be seen and not heard. Ok..rant over. GBO.Had to go where the easy money was. I talked to the ticket office Thursday and asked if our donor interest was pretty poor for this series because I never expected to get all 4 I put in for and “Meg” put it to me this way; “we had 300 tickets left after family/friends and not to offend you, but your donor rank is 10,000th and it fell all the way to you”. I told her none taken and I know I’m down the list that’s why I was so shocked. That told me it was going to be hard to offload them on our fans.
FWIW, USM fan covered my tickets and hotel so I’m practically watching for free this weekend. I didn’t feel bad behind a capitalist on them.
FWIW, two years ago I had a pair of extra tickets for Tennessee‘s first game. I could not give them away. There were lots of empty seats at that game. Of course, this year could be different, and it is LSU. It may be prudent to monitor ticket prices.
